Bobby "Bud" Ray Ogle

Bobby "Bud" Ray Ogle, Sr., 79, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Phyllis Griffin Ogle entered into eternal rest Thursday, November 15, 2018. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel.

Bud was born July 4, 1939 in Columbus, Georgia, son of the late Paul Ogle and Grace Tharpe Ogle. He honorably served in the Georgia National Guard. He took great pride in his work as a maintenance supervisor with SCE&G and retired after 32 dedicated years of perfect attendance. Bud was a hard worker who enjoyed building houses in his leisure and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. He loved being in the company of his wife, children and grandchildren and always made sure his family was his first priority. He was the ultimate family man.

Bud is survived by his wife, Phyllis; daughter, Rene Whipple (John) of Columbia, SC; two sons: Bobby Ray Ogle, Jr. of Charleston, SC and David Michael Ogle of Charleston, SC; three brothers: Charles Ogle of Phoenix City, AL, Donald Ogle of Albany, GA and Ronald Ogle of Atlanta, GA; sister, Mary Jane Bailey of Panama City, FL; Harold Bailey AKA "a brother from another mother;" four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
