Bobbie Guy Spencer

Bobbie Guy Spencer, 84, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina formerly of Frankfort, Indiana died Monday, July 21, 2014. The relatives and friends of Bob Spencer are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, July 26, 2014 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC at 2:00 pm. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel one hour prior to the service.
Bob was born September 30, 1929 in Osawatomie, Kansas, son of the late Guy Spencer and the late Goldie Mae McCoach Stone. He graduated from Indiana State with a Master's Degree in Education and was a Superintendent of Schools at Clinton Prairie Schools in Frankfort, Indiana and Assistant Superintendent in Mooresville, Indiana. He was a member of the Frankfort Rotary Club and the Elks and he also enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by two sons, Brad Spencer and his wife, Amy, of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Bruce Spencer and his wife, Gayle, of Ellettsville, IN; two daughters, Cynthia Hanson of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Debra Spencer of Charleston, SC, seven grandchildren and his partner, Mary Ann Snyder of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Down Syndrome Association of the Lowcountry, P. O. Box 12905, Charleston, SC 29422.
