Bobbie Sue Faulkner

Bobbie Sue Faulkner, 88, of Mount Pleasant went home to be with Christ on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Lawrence William Faulkner and grandson, Christopher William Keil.

Bobbie was born on April 15,1931 in Pelzer, SC. She is the daughter of the late Liston Livingston Woodcock and Louise Shealy Woodcock and is predeceased by 17 siblings. Bobbie was the last remaining of the 18 Woodcock children.

In 1953 she married her husband Larry where they later settled on The Isle of Palms in 1961 to raise their family. She spent years fulfilling her calling of leading children through her time spent as a Brownie leader, Kindergarten teacher and nursery worker of 44 years at her church, Sullivan's Island Baptist. Her greatest calling was in caring for her 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Her life will forever be cherished by her children, Runette (& Kevin) McIntyre, Donna Johnson, Dianne (& Chris) Keil, and Larry (& Elizabeth) Faulkner…by her grandchildren: Summer (& Daniel) Baptist, John (& Rose) Murray, Lindsay (& Michael) Delatorre, Camille (& Chris) Berge, William McIntyre, Noelle Ward (& Andrew Conyers), Mary Elizabeth (& Seth) Kimble, Sarah Louise Faulkner, John Lawrence Faulkner and by her great-grandchildren.

Bobbie's deep relationship with the Lord was evident to all who knew her. She loved being around people and lit up a room through her conversation, stories and dancing. Her love for everyone she came in contact with was one of her most personable traits.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11am at East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road, Mount Pleasant SC 29464 with a reception immediately following. Following the reception, a graveside service will take place at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant SC 29464.
