Blanche H. Kennedy

Blanche H. Kennedy, 95, of Charleston, SC, widow of John Cornelius Kennedy entered into eternal rest Monday, December 15, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday in J.Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Blanche was born May 17, 1919 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Edward Wesley Hilton and Minnie Veno Hilton Blanchard. She was a retired nurse's aide and a member of Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Church.

She is survived by her three daughters, Carole Cox Rubenstine of Goose Creek, SC, Charlotte "Becky" Cox Feran of James Island, SC and Virginia English of Charleston, SC; son, James F. Cox, III of Athens, GA; six grandchildren, Charlotte, Herbert, Carolyn, James, Laurie, Jimmy; twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Ruth Crowley of Folly Beach, SC and Margaret Indence of Youngsville, NC; two brothers, Robert A. Hilton of Summerton, SC and William W. Hilton of Gainesville, FL.
