Billy Fain Deen, 81, of Ravenel, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. A Celebration of Billy's Life will be held Friday, September 6, 2013 in the J. HENRY STUHR INC. WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Friday, September 6, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel.

Billy was born October 5, 1931 in Baxley, Georgia, son of the late Henry Columbus and Lydia Medders Deen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in Navy Aviation during the Korean Conflict. Billy was a retired Finance Manager with GMAC. A member of the VFW and the ELKS Club, Billy loved fishing and held a lifetime fishing license. He also enjoyed wing shooting, especially quail. But above all else, he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Laura Stallings (Robin Middleton) of Ravenel, SC, Louise (Robert) Causey of Summerville, SC, William (June) Deen of Charleston, SC, and Susan (David) Stock of Ladson, SC; his eight grandchildren; and his six great-grandchildren.
