Beverly Willingham Witt, 84, of Greenville, formerly of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Diedrich Christian Heinrich "Hank" Witt, Jr. entered into eternal rest Monday, March 11, 2013. Her funeral services will be held at the graveside Thursday, March 14, 2013 in Bethany Cemetery, 10 Cunnington Avenue at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
Beverly was born October 30, 1928 in Newberry, South Carolina, daughter of Raymond Joe Willingham and Nellie Howard Willingham. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. She graduated from Newberry College and retired as a school teacher at First Baptist Church School, Meeting Street.
She is survived by her son, Diedrich C.H. Witt, III of Charleston, SC; daughters, Denise Witt Johnson (Donnie) of Greenville, SC, Diedri Witt Goudelock (Rusty) of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren, Robert Witt Johnson, Anna Kay Johnson, Christian Chandler Goudelock, Anne Elise Goudelock, Hannah Elizabeth Goudelock; brother, Kenneth R. Willingham (Kay) of Mount Pleasant, SC and sister, Toni W. Warren (Richie) of Newberry, SC. She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Howard Willingham.
The family would like to thank the Nursing Staff and CNA's at Rolling Green Village and the staff at ARK Hospice. We would also like to thank her special friends at Rolling Green Village, Personal Care and Skilled Nursing.
