Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of July 12, 2011, Beverly Winfield Spratt, widow of Dr. John Stricklin Spratt, Jr.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the graveside Saturday, July 23, 20ll, at 11:00am in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, KY.

Mrs. Spratt was born August 15, 1929 in Opelousas, LA, the daughter of Thomas Winfield and Ruth Ellen Tillery Winfield.  Beverly was raised by her mother and stepfather Arthur Leonard Satcher due to Mr. Winfield's untimely death.  She graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1948.  Shortly after graduating, she married Dr. Spratt and they shared fifty-three wonderful years together.

She is survived by one daughter:  Shelley Winfiele Young of Alexandria, VA; two sons:  Dr. John Arthur Spratt (Linda) of Charleston, SC and Robert Stricklin Spratt of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 2800 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, KY  40206-2662.
