Beverly Kirkwood "Penny" Haley

Beverly Kirkwood "Penny" Haley, 75, of Mount Pleasant, SC, wife of Julius French "Jeff" Haley, Jr. entered into eternal rest Monday, September 5, 2022.  Her graveside service will be held on October 29, 2022 at 3:00PM at Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, SC.   Following the service, a celebration of life will be held at 1070 Cottingham Drive, Mount Pleasant, SC. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Penny was born November 12, 1946, in Columbia, SC, daughter of the late Earle Wilson Kirkwood and the late Isabel Bratton Kirkwood.  Penny graduated from AC Flora High School, class of 1965.  She attended the University of SC for two years and then met the love of her life; they were married for fifty-four years.  She was a member of Colonial Dames, a Master Gardener and a former member of Alhambra Garden Club. Penny was a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church.

She is survived by her husband, Julius French "Jeff" Haley, Jr.; son, Julius French "Jay" Haley III of Charleston, SC; grandson, Christopher Bratton Haley of Charleston, SC; brother, Earle Wilson Kirkwood of Tallahassee, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Elizabeth Kirkwood Sliger and Katherine Kirkwood Roper.
