IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beverly Blemker
Lacy
July 18, 1933 – December 17, 2025
Beverly B. Lacy, 92, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, January 4th at 2:00 pm in the Historic Chapel at Christ Episcopal Church, 2304 Highway 17, Mount Pleasant. Arrangements are by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Born on July 18, 1933 in Augusta, Georgia, Bev was the daughter of the late Nick and Julia Blemker. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1955, where she studied childhood educational television and served as president of her Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
A lifelong Episcopalian, Bev was deeply devoted to her faith and active in every parish she attended. She sang in the church choir as a young woman, taught Sunday School, and later served faithfully on both the Altar and Flower Guilds.
Bev spent more than 15 years as a Manager and Child Advocate with the Juvenile Welfare Board in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she found great purpose in supporting children and families in need.
Above all, Bev will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and the love she shared so freely with her family and friends.
She was married for 55 wonderful years to her beloved husband, Bill Lacy, and is survived by their three children: Chris Lacy (Mary Beth) of La Quinta, CA; Brian Lacy (Julia) of Ponte Vedra, FL; and Anne Lacy (DJ) of Mount Pleasant, SC. She also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren - Kevin (Racquel), Jackie, Savannah, and Allison- and one great-grandson, Kevin.
In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by her husband Bill Lacy and her brother Barry Blemker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church in Mount Pleasant, the Charleston Animal Society, or any charity of one's choice.
