Beverly Jean Beam, 65, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Daniel Robert Beam, Jr. died Thursday, June 23, 2016. The family will receive friends Tuesday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1695 Raoul Wallenberg Blvd. at 10:00 a.m. Interment following will be held in Beaufort National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.

Beverly was born July 29, 1950 in Visalia, California, daughter of the late Harold Silcott and Josephine Ann Mattingly Silcott. She was a Librarian with the Charleston County Library System.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 40 years; daughter, Katherine Beam Ford (Joshua) of Kernersville, NC; son, David Melton of Aloha, OR; two sisters: Janet Bedwell of Lincoln, CA; Nancy Sharpe of Yuba City, CA; brother, James Silcott of Sacramento, CA; grandson, James Robert Beam Ford of Kernersville, NC; brother in laws, Keith Beam (Nancy); Kelly Beam (Sylvia), and a mother in law Anna Beam all of Charleston, SC.
