Betty Anne Ritts, 93, of Charleston, SC, wife of the late Henry Earl Ritts, entered into eternal rest Friday, August 1, 2025. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. A Graveside Service will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
Betty was born May 4, 1932 in Walhalla, South Carolina, daughter of the late Julian Andrew Freeman, Sr. and Georgia Geneva Bell Freeman. She was a very steadfast Christian, with an unshakable faith, who loved reading her Bible at least twice a day.
She is survived by her brothers, Robert W. Freeman, James W. “Bill” Freeman, and Joe E. Freeman; her daughter, Danielle Murray; grandchildren, Elizabeth Stahl, Tina Murphy, Lacy Bailey, Matthew Inkpen, Susie Murray, and Toni Kimbrell; 10 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Julian A. Freeman, Jr., Jimmie L. Freeman; sisters, Anna (Freeman) Kotasek, and Nancy (Freeman) Oviedo; her daughters, Debra Bailey, Donna Magill, and Karen Inkpen; and her granddaughters, Corey Bailey, and Tracy Ritts.
