Betty Mae Bernstein Pearlman, 97, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Judge Gus H. Pearlman, entered into eternal rest Sunday, October 1, 2023. Her funeral service will be held graveside Tuesday, October 3, 2023 in Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim Cemetery, Huguenin Avenue at 11:00 a.m.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Betty was born September 11, 1926 in Burlington, North Carolina, daughter of the late Abraham Bernstein and Lillian Tumpowski Bernstein. 

She is survived by and doted on her three sons: David T. Pearlman of Sullivan's Island, SC, Robert B. Pearlman of Mount Pleasant, SC and Dr. Jonathan Pearlman of Granville, OH; three daughters-in-law: Janet Pearlman, Cynthia Pearlman and Jenny Pearlman; niece, Marilyn Bernstein Schwartz; seven grandchildren: Franci, Elizabeth, Katherine, Andrew, Adam, Alex and Taylor; and seven great-grandchildren: Aurora, Bernadette, Gus, Mia, Aiden, Gabriella and Camille. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Temple of Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim Congregation, 90 Hasell Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
