Betty Crow Cobb Paul

Betty Crow Cobb Paul, 80, of Charleston, SC passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011.  The relatives and friends of Betty Paul are invited to attend her Funeral Service at the graveside on Thursday, June 9, 2011 in Live Oak Memorial Park at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Mrs. Paul was born on July 25, 1930 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She graduated from high school and received an Associate Degree from Cecil's Business College in Spartanburg, SC. She worked as a telephone operator at Roper Hospital. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Porter Cobb; her second husband, Lt. Cmdr. Vernon Paul (US Navy Ret) and her two sons, Larry K. Cobb and Gary D. Cobb. Betty is survived by three granddaughters, Sandra L. Mitchum of Mt. Pleasant, Cynthia C. Reeves of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Erica Williams of Orangeburg, SC; one grandson, Gregg D. Cobb of Moncks Corner, SC, seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Smith of Atlanta, GA and Judy Hallman of Spartanburg, SC; two sister-in-laws, Evelyn Gardner and Sara Steadman, both of Spartanburg, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 57 Pitt Street, Charleston, SC  29401.
