Betty Jean Drawdy Mouzon

In celebration of her life, the family of Betty D. Mouzon sadly announce her passing, peacefully in her sleep at home on the morning of July 22, 2025 at the beautiful age of 93 years.

Betty was born in Tillman, SC on June 11, 1932, the daughter of the late John Thomas and Lois S. Drawdy, along with her younger brother the late Thomas Drawdy, who is survived by Dorothy and their son, John Drawdy and family. In 1950, she married C. Raymond Mouzon lived a long and loving life while parenting five children; their eldest son, the late M. Anthony who is survived by his wife, Marsha and son, Jerrod (of Hanahan, SC). Michael A. and children Megan and Aaron (of Charleston, SC), Matthew, with his wife Susan and children, Jennifer and Christopher (of Jacksonville, FL), Thomas S. (of Charleston, SC), and his daughter Casey Gladstone (of Jacksonville, FL), and DeLisa M. Reynolds of North Charleston with her children, Kevin and Jess, Lois and David Knauff and Raymond Thomas. 4 great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held Monday, July 28, 2025 in the North Charleston United Methodist Church 1125 E Montague Ave, North Charleston, SC 29405 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 27, 2025 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC 29406 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to North Charleston United Methodist or St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
