Betty Joyce McDonald

Betty "Joyce" McDonald of Mauldin, SC and recently Mount Pleasant, SC stepped into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 7, 2022. 
 
Mrs. McDonald was the wife of Dr. William L. McDonald of Mauldin, SC and now Mount Pleasant, SC. They served in ministry and several Methodist churches in Spartanburg, SC,  Simpsonville, SC, and most of all at the Cathedral Community Church in Mauldin, SC.
 
Mrs. McDonald was a well-known banker and vice president of First Federal of South Carolina, BB&T and Palmetto Banks in the upstate of South Carolina. Mrs. McDonald is survived by her husband of 69 years, Dr. William L. McDonald, and two daughters, Janet M. Cofield and her husband, Thomas C. Cofield of Lexington, SC, and Joy M. Franklin and her late husband, Ron Franklin, Jr. of Mount Pleasant, SC. The joy of her days was her grandchildren, T.J. Cofield of Mount Pleasant, Caitlin C. Radecki and her husband Tyler of Nashville, TN,  Summer F. Arnold, and her husband Garrett, Ron Franklin, III of Mount Pleasant, SC and most recently her first great grandchild, John Arnold of West Ashley, SC. 
 
A small private celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2022, in the Rodenberg Chapel of Franke at Seaside, officiated by Reverend White. The family would like to thank the amazing staff and friends at Franke at Seaside for loving Mrs. McDonald well.
