Betty Lou Watkins Fore

Betty Lou Watkins Fore, 85, of Meggett, South Carolina, devoted wife of the late Herbert Cecil Fore entered into eternal rest Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Betty was born November 7, 1932 in Mascotte, Florida, daughter of the late John Taylor Watkins and Betty Fulks Watkins. She was a retired banker after 21 years of service with 1st National Bank of South Carolina, South Carolina National Bank, and Wachovia bank. Betty was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Past Worthy Matron-Carolina Chapter#25 and a member of the Sojourners #28. Betty was past member of many garden clubs and won numerous awards for her green thumb. She was an avid lover of her horses, dogs and her chickens.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her children, Lorraine Hawkins (Tommy) of Columbia, SC; Michael Fore (Patricia) of Middleburg, FL; Dyan Rauton (Kevin) of Meggett, SC; ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; brother, John Watkins of Dothan, AL; sister, Peggy Griffin of Eustis, FL, and all who knew her as the sweet lady that she was.
