Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of July 29, 2011, Betty Kalfen Lerner, widow of Max Lerner.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside funeral services in Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery (Maryville) Sunday, July 31, 2011, at 10 am.

Betty was born August 6, 1917 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Herman and Ida Kalfen.  She was a member of Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue.

She is survived by a son, Jack H. Lerner of Charleston; a daughter, Eileen L. DeLorey of Oxnard, CA; and two sisters, Minnie K. Silver of Brooklyn, NY and Libby K. Edelson of Rochester, NY.
