Betty Jo Shelley King

Mrs. Betty Jo Shelley King entered into eternal rest late Sunday evening.

She was born in Marion County, SC, March 21, 1949, a devoted wife and mother, was an active member with Crowfield Baptist Church of Goose Creek and she taught pre-school at First Baptist Church, also of Goose Creek, for many years.  She will be sadly missed by her close friends and family.

She is preceded by an infant son, Joseph; her mother, Elise Shelley; father, Joseph "Joe" Shelley; and a brother, Jimmy Shelley.  She's survived by her husband Billy R. King, Sr.; two sons, Billy R. King, Jr. of Columbia, SC and Jason King of Goose Creek, SC.  She was looking forward to the marriage of her son Jason to his fianc�e, Stacia, in the upcoming months, they have one son, Dylan.  She is also survived by two brothers, Carlisle Shelley and his wife Pat and Kenny Shelley and his wife Brenda.

The graveside funeral service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Horry County, SC, Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM.  The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road Wednesday, December 1, 2010 between 6:00 and 8:00 PM.
