Betty Lou Hollar

Betty Lou Hollar, 81, of North Charleston, SC, died Sunday, October 9, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 3:00 pm. Entombment will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service.

Betty was born December 26, 1934 in Bakersville, NC, the only child of the late Cecil and Ruby McKinney. She retired as a Registered Nurse with Ralph H. Johnson VA Hospital. She attended the Charleston Air Force Base Chapel.

She is survived by two daughters, Daphne Denise Pressley (Larry) of Smithville, TN and Teresa Lynn Besco (Mike); son, Robert Scott Hollar all of Mount Pleasant, SC; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, MSgt. Robert D. Hollar Jr., USAF Ret.
