Betty Joyce Hill, 85, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Thomas Alexander Hill entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 6, 2015. The family will receive friends Friday, May 8, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will follow at the graveside in Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road, James Island at 12:30 p.m.

Betty was born March 8, 1930 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late William Pessier and Naomi Witchen Pessier. She was a homemaker and former member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her three daughters, Karen (Marshall) Woolridge of Charleston, SC; Sandra (Peter) Maxey of Walkersville, MD, Brenda (Steve) Bullard of Clarksville, NC; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, Ronald Anthony Hill.
