Betty Ann Mizell Heinsohn, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, married to the late Charles William Heinsohn for 52 years, entered eternal rest Friday, February 10, 2023.
Betty Ann was born April 21, 1937 in Charleston, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Sidney Webber Mizell and the late Nolie Infinger Mizell. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Sidney Mizell, and sister, Carolyn Mizell Wiggins.
Betty Ann was a wonderful mother, a loving grandmother, and a truly humble and kind person. Loved by everyone who knew her. Her sweet and thoughtful way of living shaped the family who survives her.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Heinsohn Allison (Stan) of Mount Pleasant, SC; two sons, Ernie Heinsohn of Adams Run, SC and Chuck Heinsohn (Kathy) of Meggett, SC; sister-in-law, June P. Mizell of Hanahan, SC; four grandchildren, Kate Allison Wilkins (Stuart), Leigh Allison Youngblood (Ty), Dylan Heinsohn, Megan Heinsohn; and great-granddaughter, Iris Allison Wilkins.
Thank you to the Benton House of West Ashley, Darlene, Linda, Michelle, Shirley, and Lutheran Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our mom this last month.
Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 in the St. Johannes Evangelical Lutheran Church, 48 Hasell Street at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, February, 16, 2023 at J. Henry Stuhr West Ashley Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr West Ashley
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Johannes Lutheran Church.
