Betty Bernice Willis Elsey

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of February 10, 2012, Betty Bernice Willis Elsey, widow of Jesse Leonard Elsey. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Betty B. Elsey are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 2 pm. The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel on Monday between 6pm and 8pm.

Mrs. Elsey was born on May 28, 1929 in Ravenel, SC a daughter of Alan Willis and Mary Frances Carroll Willis Carter. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Jesse Mickey Elsey of Ridgeville, SC and Wilbur Leonard Elsey of North Charleston, SC; one daughter, Janie Elsey Smoak of Orangeburg, SC; three sisters, Earthleen Fritz of Harleyville, SC, Alice Gunn McGonigal of North Charleston, SC and Mary Jewell of Scobie, MT; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by a brother Charlie Willis; 2 sisters Mayola Hill and Janie Lee Willis Chinnis.
