Betty was born September 19, 1930 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Leroy W. Halsall and Gladys Waltz Halsall. She was a Med Technologist. She graduated from the College of Charleston in 1951 and was a member of Delta Zeta. One of her passions was gardening, she was president of the Garden Club of Lenevar. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing, and was an avid card player. Betty was a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Dykes (Raymond) Sibbald, Stephanie Dykes; three grandchildren, Ryan Carter, Meghan Sibbald, Lauren Sibbald;
In addition to her late husband she was preceded in death by her son, Douglas C. Dykes.
