Betty Gibson Caddell, 82, of Bonneau, formerly of James Island, died early Saturday, August 3, 2013 in St. Stephen, SC. A graveside service will be held Monday August 5, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday August 4, 2013 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL.

Ms. Caddell was born in Charleston, SC, a daughter of Louiel Carlisle Gibson and Clara Grooms Gibson. She was a member of Bonneau Beach Civic Club and of Ft. Johnson Baptist Church. She was the widow of William A. Caddell, of whom she was married 63 years. She is preceded in death by a son, Mark A. Caddell. She is survived by a brother, L.C. Gibson, Jr. of James Island; two daughters, Brenda C. Coughlin and Candy C. (John) Bell; son, Richard C. Caddell, all of Goose Creek; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
