Betty Hartmann Buero

Betty Hartmann Buero, 89, of James Island, South Carolina, widow of Harold I. Buero, entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 18, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 22, 2014, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street, at 3:00 p.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Stuhr's Downtown Chapel.

Betty was born April 10, 1925 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Henry D. Hartmann and Carrie Warren Hartmann. She was a graduate of Murray Vocational High School and a member of Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, H. Timothy Buero (Marcie); daughters: Carol B. Erickson, Cynthia B. McConnell, Lynn B. Ryall (Tom), Nancy B. Estridge (Butch) and Margaret B. Pickett (Andy); eleven grandchildren: David Erickson (Hillary), Dana Vasquez (Adrian), Dallas Estridge, Janna Eason (Derek), Kelli Barnette (Will), Clint Ryall (Marie), Jessica Hale (Danny), Sarah McConnell, James McConnell (Holly) and Jacob and Megan Pickett; as well as twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Henry Bierfischer, Carl Bierfischer, Herbert Bierfischer, Wilson Bierfischer, Aleen B. Burton and Catherine H. Cannan.
