Betty Marie Watts Blizzard

Betty Marie Watts Blizzard, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Woodrow W. Blizzard Jr., entered into eternal rest and into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, May 19, 2022. The family will hold a private ceremony per her wishes. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Betty was born November 10, 1941 in Charleston, South Carolina. She was the youngest of six children born of the late Charles J. Watts and Lillian Roth Watts, also of Charleston, SC. She was the retired co-owner of Port City Supply Inc, and worked alongside her husband for many years.     

In addition to her husband of 59 years, Betty is survived by her daughter, Wendy B. Combos (Gregg); son, Woodrow Alex Blizzard; her big brother, Charles J. Watts Jr. (Vivian); and her best friend and sister, Florence W. Dewitt. She will be greatly missed by her four grandchildren: Mitchell Miller, Makaylee Blizzard, Lelah Blizzard and Allison Combos. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty deeply loved her family above all else.  

She was pre-deceased by her sisters, Dorothy W. Mitchum and Elizabeth W. Lewis; and brother John W. Watts.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Charleston Baptist Church, 13 San Miguel Rd., Charleston SC, where she last attended or Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remont Rd, North Charleston, SC.
