Bethel Ellen Shealy

Bethel Ellen Davis Shealy of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Reverend Colonel H. Frank Shealy entered into eternal rest Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 in Northbridge Baptist Church, 1160 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends in the church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at The VA National Cemetery at Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC at 12:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

Bethel was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, daughter of the late James Roy Davis and Rosa Ellen Davis. She was a graduate of New Hanover High School and 2003 graduate of Liberty University of Lynchburg, VA in Biblical Studies. Bethel was a retired payables supervisor with ATandT after serving 40 years. She was an assistant team leader with the International and National Disaster Relief Missions of the Southern Baptist Convention as well as a missionary with the international missions board. She was a certified international tour guide, Charleston tour guide and a member of Northbridge Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Reverend Colonel H. Frank Shealy of Charleston, SC; her children, Randy, Catherine, Beth; step-children, Sherry, Kristen, and Sean and step-grandchildren, Paige and Ellora. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, M. Boyd Davis.
