Bessie "Betsy" Neal

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of May 22, 2012, Bessie Wiggins Neal, wife of Turpin Wesley Neal of Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Turpin W. Neal are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter Friday, May 25, 2012 at Charleston Baptist Church, 13 San Miguel Road, Charleston at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this Thursday at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Born March 19, 1920 in Robeson County, Raleigh, North Carolina, Betsy was the daughter of Malcolm and Nellie Burchette Wiggins. She was a homemaker and member of Charleston Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Turpin Neal of Charleston; daughter, Rebecca Butler of Cross, SC; four sons, Earl Jordan, William "Walter" Jordan and wife Nancy, Tillman Jordan all of Charleston and Tony Jordan and wife Helen of Moncks Corner, SC; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and Cookie Jordan.

Memorial donations may be made to Charleston Baptist Church, 13 San Miguel Road, Charleston, SC 29407.
