Bertha "Louise" Francis

Bertha "Louise" Francis, 91, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Craig Alexander Francis, Sr entered into eternal rest Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday August 13, 2016 in Pinecrest Baptist Church, 1285 Ashley Hall Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens . The family will receive friends Friday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Louise was born January 8, 1925 in Petersburg, Virginia, daughter of the late Benjamin Albert Benton and Georgie Whitaker Benton. She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Craig Alexander Francis, Sr.; son, Craig A. Francis, Jr., (Sherry) of Pace, FL; daughter, Ida Smith (Eric) of Moncks Corner SC; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Agnes Jones of Goose Creek, SC. She is preceded in death by her brother, Charles "Cecil" Benton.
