Marjorie Rucker, 92, of Charleston, S.C., wife of the late Wilbur Lucius Rucker entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 15, 2017. A memorial service will be announced in the future at J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.
Marjorie was born on September 11, 1925 in Charleston, S.C., daughter of the late willian H. Lee, Sr. and the late Bernice Robinson Lee. She attended the College of Charleston where she was a member of the Phi Mu sorority. She went to pharmacy school at MUSC after which she worked as a registered pharmacist and taught part-time in the MUSC School of Pharmacy. After retiring from the pharmacy field, she worked as a real estate broker and property manager. She loved to travel and enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing and going to the beach. She was an avid reader and loved animals.
She is survived by four children, Patricia Ann Vestal (Waymoth) of Goose Creek, SC, Dr. William Lee Rucker (Lorraine) of Ayden, N.C., Randolph Rea Rucker (Lora) of Stockbridge GA., and John Hall Rucker (Constance) of Marietta, GA., twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
