Bernice Coleman Berry

Bernice Coleman Berry, 92, of Columbia, South Carolina, formerly of Charleston, SC, widow of Abram Berry, MD entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 2, 2013. Her funeral service will be held at the graveside in Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery, "Maryville", Sycamore Avenue, on Sunday, May 5th, at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Bernice was born April 25, 1921 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Dave Coleman and Bertha Ellison Coleman. She was a member of Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue, Beth Shalom Synagogue, Hadassah, Ort and the National Council of Jewish Women.

She is survived by her three children: Jack Berry (Michelle) of Hendersonville, NC; Marshall Berry (Gilda) of Roswell, GA; and Ellen Berry Seidenberg (Fred) of Columbia, SC. Her seven grandchildren include Adam Berry of Berlin, Germany; Evan Berry of Charleston, SC; David Berry and Gloria Berry both of Decatur, GA; Justin (Lisa) Seidenberg of Chicago, IL; Andrew Seidenberg of Boston, MA; and Kala Seidenberg of Decatur, GA. She was predeceased by her brother Ralph R. Coleman, MD.

The family wishes to give special thanks to caregivers Marcia Hughes, Crystal Hawkins and Annie Watson for their never ending support and loving care.
