Bernhard "Carsie" Carsten Albers, Jr., 87, of Charleston, SC, husband of Martha "Joby"Atwood Albers entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 29, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held at the Graveside Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive at 1:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC.
Carsie was born February 29, 1928 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Bernhard C. Albers, Sr., and Earline Martschink Albers. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was retired from BellSouth after more than 40 years of service. He was a member of the Charleston Rifle Club, Telephone Pioneers, and Founding member of Holy Comforter Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Martha "Joby"Albers, son, George C. (Celeste) Albers, daughter, Martha A. (Glenn) Phillips, two grandchildren, Corrie A.P. (Andrew) Glover and, Kyle A. Phillips, two great-grandchildren, Kade Glover, Jesse Glover all of Charleston SC.
