Benny Clark Edwards

Benny Clark Edwards, 75, of Lexington, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on May 5, 2023. His Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell service will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 in Bethany Cemetery at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 7:00 pm.

Benny was born March 5, 1948 in Cana, Virginia, son of the late Clark Edwards and Bertha Akers Edwards. He loved camping, kayaking, eating ice cream, and spending time with his grandchildren. Benny served in the Air Force in Vietnam and worked for the United Way.

He is survived by his daughter, Tara Melissa Edwards-Vitollo (Timothy); step-children, Tammy Moore (Daryl) and Michelle Neuschanger (Jordan); grandchildren, Hannah Grace Vitollo, Savannah Joy Vitollo, TJ Edwards, Steven Edwards, Hunter Moore, Shane Parker, Jay Neuschanger, and Leah Neuschanger; and many great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Edwards; and siblings, Vauldy Edwards, Willie Edwards, Mazie Berrie, Brenda Gould, Dot Shurter, and Uless Edwards.
