Benjamin S. Horne, Jr. of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on June 19, 2021. He was born on March 8, 1928 in Dayton Ohio.
He graduated from Clemson College, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and worked for 39 years at Carolina Shipping Co. Ben is survived by three sons; Dr. Benjamin S. Horne, III (wife Mary) of Greenville, Arthur Livingston Horne (wife Wanda), Brian Forest Horne (wife Mary) all of Charleston, and daughter, Nancy Horne Godwin (husband John) of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jane Brown Horne and son, Curtis. His Funeral Service will be held at Saint James Anglican Church, 1872 Camp Road, Friday, June 25 at 11:00am. The family will receive friends following the service in the Ministry Center. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc.
