Ben Frank Cheatham, III, 77, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, December 4, 2020. A private funeral service will be held at the graveside in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant, SC. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel. Due to COVID-19, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Ben was born February 22, 1943 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Ben Frank Cheatham, Jr. and Kathleen Lewis Cheatham. He was a member of Hibben United Methodist Church. He served in the SC National Guard and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a pipe fitter.

He is survived by his two sons, William "Billy" Cheatham, of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Ben "Chip" Frank Cheatham, IV of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Louise "Weezie" King of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Kathleen Cheatham Hantz (David) of Charleston, SC; two nephews, Robert "Bird" King and Christopher King. He was preceded in death by his nephew, William "Bobby" Robert Jones.
