Ben Dacuba

Ben Dacuba, 83, USN (Ret.) of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of the late Elizabeth Oelrich Dacuba died Friday, October 6, 2017. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Road, at 11:00 AM. Interment with military honors will follow in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, October 13, from 10:00 AM until time of the service.

Ben was born July 14, 1934 in Camp Kiethly, Lano, Philippines, son of the late Simeon Dacuba and Crecencia Sumarinas Dacuba. He was a retired US Navy Veteran and business owner. He enjoyed gardening, playing tennis and bird watching. He also loved to shop for antiques.

He is survived by his daughter, Annette Dacuba of Mount Pleasant, SC; two sons, Andree Dacuba (Suzanne) of Northvale, NJ, and Michael Dacuba (Tiffany) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren, Gabrielle Dacuba, Lleyton Dacuba, Zachary Dacuba, Alexander Dacuba, and Andrew Dacuba.
