Bella Marie Barboza Edwards, 93, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of John Turnbull Edwards, entered into eternal rest Monday, June 21, 2021. Her funeral service will be held at the graveside, Thursday, June 24, 2021, in Bethany Cemetery, at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.
Bella was born September 2, 1927 in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, daughter of the late Manuel Barboza and Mary Carvalho Barboza. She was a retired School Crossing Guard for Charleston County.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Marie Edwards of North Charleston, SC; son, John Turnbull Edwards, Jr. of Hollywood, SC; granddaughter, Annette Marie Giannotti of Summerville, SC and great-grandson, Arthur James Moore III.
