Beatriz Elicanal Olaes, 79, of Goose Creek, SC, widow of Oscar Vallido Olaes entered into eternal rest Thursday, September 30, 2021. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 7, 2021 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston. Please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
Beatriz was born February 12, 1942 in Pila, Laguna, Philippines, daughter of the late Tomas Elicanal and Maximina Tengco. Before her retirement, she worked in Food Service within the Berkeley County School District. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Goose Creek, SC. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always had time for her grandkids, who were the apple of her eye. In her spare time, Beatriz was an avid player of Mahjong, which she enjoyed playing with friends.
She is survived by her son, Charles Elicanal Olaes and his wife H. Victoria Olaes of Goose Creek, SC; one grandson, Grayson B. Olaes, and one granddaughter, Sophia T. Olaes, both of Goose Creek, SC and many other family members in the U.S. and Philippines.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters.
