Beatrice "Betty" O. Winkler

Beatrice "Betty" O. Winkler, 91, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of George Raymond Winkler, died Thursday, October 6, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 14, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home of Jeff and Karen Winkler following the service.

Betty was born November 7, 1924 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, daughter of the late Leslie Earl Ormerod and the late Lillian Katherine Rohlfing Ormerod. She retired from MUSC after serving many years as an executive assistant to the Dean of the School of Nursing. Betty was a long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Mount Pleasant. She was grateful to live her last nine years at Franke at Seaside. The family would like to acknowledge the loving care she received there.

She is survived by her sons, Bradley H. Winkler (Sarah) of Houston, TX and Jeffrey A.Winkler (Karen) of Mount Pleasant, SC; seven grandsons: Shawn (Kimberly), Christopher (Vanessa), Jeffrey, James, Matthew, Austin, and Bryce; great-granddaughters, Sloan, Sutton, and Antonella; and her sister, Jessie Miller of Isle of Palms, SC.
