Beatrice Pauline Chestnut, 85, of North Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 25, 2018. A private memorial will be held. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.
Beatrice was born February 13, 1933 in Conway, SC, the daughter of the late Dewey and Mackie Anderson. She was married to the late Henry Chestnut, a Korean War veteran, for 55 years. For many years, she worked as a bookkeeper at Edwards Department Store in Conway. She became an accomplished seamstress after moving to North Charleston. For many years, she and Henry enjoyed fishing, especially at the Charleston harbor jetties.
She is survived by her loving adopted sister, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and neighbors in the Park Circle community. She was preceded in death by her sister Helen Joyner and her brother Paul Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston. 4975 LaCross Road, Suite 200, North Charleston, SC 29406.
