Barbara Reid Wingard, 99, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Ernest B. Wingard, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in Circular Congregational Church, 150 Meeting Street at 11:00 am. Interment in Bethany Cemetery. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Barbara was born June 4, 1925, in Kearney, New Jersey, daughter of John Reid and Thelma Kessler Reid. She was a Division Manager at Sears. Barbara was a member of Circular Congregational Church, the Island Quilters Guild, St. Andrew's Garden Club and a volunteer at Roper Hospital.

She is survived by two sons John R Wingard (Biltmore Lake, NC) and David B Wingard (Greenville, SC) and a daughter Lin Cook (Charleston) and was predeceased by her son Ernest B. Wingard, Jr and her sister Harriet Masterton. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Ellen Hott, Emily Fager, Joseph Wingard, Melissa Wingard, Keith Wingard, Michael Wingard, Eric Cook, Sally Ferris, Benjamin Wingard, and a growing number of great grandchildren.
