Barbara Ellen Waters

July 4, 1950 — May 19, 2011

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of May 19, 2011, Barbara "Bobbie" Ellen Powers Waters, 60, of North Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends of Barbara Waters are invited to attend her funeral service in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Sunday, May 22, 2011, at 2:00 pm.  Interment, Mt. Olivet Baptist Churchyard, Pinopolis, SC.  Friends may call at Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel on Saturday, between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm.


Barbara was born on July 4, 1950 in Charleston, SC the daughter of Hughey Powers and Ellen Martha Austin Powers.  She was the Queen of Karaoke, loved fishing and her puppies.  She was a former employee and loved her work with Robert O. Collins.


She is survived by her life partner, Richard "Rick" Kenz of Cottageville, SC; daughters:  Regina S. Orr/Attard and her husband John Attard of Cottageville, SC, Paula Orr Nero of Summerville, SC and Angela Dina Orr Crapse and her husband Otis of Summerville, SC; son, William David Attard of North Charleston, SC; two sisters of Conway, SC, Angel Powers Robinson and her fianc� Hosey Causey and Darlene Powers Wooten and her fianc� Randolph Herring; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and special friend, Toonia Parrot and spouse.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Jimmy H. Powers, Glendale Powers "Catfish" and Tyrone Mack Powers "Buck"; and her niece, Billie Jean Powers.
