Barbara McMichael Thomas, 88, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, widow of Clarence Berry Thomas entered into eternal rest Monday, February 12, 2018. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., 2180 Greenridge Road, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held Thursday in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.

Barbara was born May 28, 1929 in Ridgeland, South Carolina, daughter of the late Manley Oliver McMichael and Mary Nell Tuten McMichael. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Riverbluff Baptist Church of North Charleston.

She is survived by her two sons, James Lenox Thomas, II., (Susan), and John Wilson Thomas (Denise) all of Goose Creek, SC; daughter, Candace Thomas Arant (Mark) of York, SC; step-son, Barry Thomas of High Point, NC; brother, David McMichael of Huntsville, AL; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two-great-great-grandchildren.
