Barbara Jean Shatzer, 76, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 10, 2015. Her memorial service will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 in Summerville, SC at the Village of Summerville Chapel, 201 West 9th North Street at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Barbara was born October 1, 1939 in Charlotte, NC, a daughter of the late John Barry Shatzer, Jr. and the late Sara Hazel Woodside Shatzer. She was one year old when her family moved to Charleston. She graduated from James Island High School in 1957. She worked for Atlantic Coast Life Insurance for seven years and then for Coburg Dairy, retiring after 35 years. Barbara was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her sister, Ellen Neves (Ernie) of Vacaville, CA; her brother, John Barry Shatzer, III of Columbia, SC; godchild, Catherine Swanson of Newport, RI; nieces, nephews and many cousins.
