Barbara Holder Rice, 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Harlan Wayne Rice, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 20, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, June 23, 2013 in the Grace United Methodist Church, 1601 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard at 2:00 pm. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in Grace United Methodist Church. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Barbara was born November 18, 1925 in Greensboro, North Carolina, daughter of Clements Holder and Cora Terrell Holder. She was a retired Secretary with the University of Missouri and homemaker. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her three daughters, Susan Rice, Sandy Rice and Sharon Hollar (Herbert) all of Charleston; two grandchildren, Dr. Adam Cassell and Kathryn Hovis; and many nieces and nephews.
