Barbara Clifton Morrison, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the West Ashley Chapel from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Barbara was born January 20, 1937 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late James Henry Clifton and Willia Lou Wall Clifton. Barbara graduated from Furman University and was a retired Elementary School Teacher.  She was a devoted, long-time member of the Ruth Sunday School Class at Ashley River Baptist Church.  

She is survived by her children, Michael Gary Morrison (Mitchelle) of Charleston, SC; Eric Nathan Morrison (Andrea) of Owens Cross Roads, AL; and Annisa Morrison Martin (Todd) of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Hannah Renee Martin and Caleb Anthony Martin; and brother, James Henry Clifton, Jr. of Summerville, SC. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Gary Joe Morrison; son, Matthew Anthony Morrison; and sister, Frances Carolyn Coury.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Barbara's memory to Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC 29407.
