Barbara Ruppert Gaines

Barbara Ruppert Gaines, 72, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Robert H. Gaines, Jr., entered into eternal rest Monday, February 12, 2018. Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the International Church of God, 1560 Ashley River Road at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Saturday in the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

Barbara was born February 17, 1945 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late John Norman Ruppert and Coralene Ramsey Ruppert. She was a Customer Service Supervisor with SCEandG. Barbara was a master gardener and a member of the International Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Gaines, Jr.; two daughters, Christine Gaines Ulmer (John), Karen Gaines Moskos (Dino); two sisters, Pamela Floyd (Stafford), Polly Wireman (Charlie) all of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, James Ulmer (Erin), Cameron McAllister (Marcus), Christen Brunson (Jonothon), Steven Moskos, Michael Moskos; three great-grandchildren, Alice, Martha Keegan and Zara; numerous nieces and nephews.
