Barbara Martin Ferguson Frazier 89, first married to the late Edgar Earl Fellabom, Jr. "Ed" and widow of John "Jack" E. Hagan and Samuel "Sam" E. Frazier of Pittsburg, PA and Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012. The relatives and friends of Barbara Frazier are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Monday, May 28, 2012 in Rodenberg Chapel, Franke at Seaside at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Franke at Seaside. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Mount Lebanon, PA.
Barbara was born on June 9, 1922 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late James Harvey Ferguson, Jr. and Elsie Ruth Martin Ferguson. She attended Westminster College and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1946 and received her Bachelor of Science degree. Barbara was initiated in Chi Omega Sorority at the University of Pittsburgh in 1941. She worked as a Social Worker in Pittsburgh, PA where she lived for more than 85 years. Barbara is a member of Sunrise Presbyterian Church of Sullivan's Island. She was a dedicated volunteer to many organizations over the years of her life including Florence Crittenton Home of Pittsburgh, PA; Wellesley Institute of Pittsburgh, PA; Twentieth Century Club of Pittsburgh, PA; and she served as a docent at the Carnegie Mellon Institute in Pittsburgh, PA.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra Fellabom Richardson of Cincinnati, OH; a son, Edgar "Tripp" Earl Fellabom, III and his wife, Leslie, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; step-children, Keith Frazier, Joyce Frazier, Brooks Frazier and his wife, Marge and Janet "Jan" Hyink and her husband, Dave; grandchildren, Robert Andrew Fellabom, Madeline A. Fellabom, Alexis L. Bruning and her husband, Benedict, Zachary M. Ficke, Adam H. Richardson, Lindsey L. Richardson; step-granchildren, Bryan Frazier, Scott Frazier and Libby Knowlton Bulleit. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Harvey Ferguson, III.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care provided to Barbara and her family by the entire staff of Franke at Seaside, especially those of Keil Heathcare Center and Odyssey Hospice.
