Barbara P. Ferri

July 6, 1943 — September 27, 2021

Barbara P. Ferri, widow of Joseph F. Ferri, entered into eternal rest Monday, September 27, 2021. A private graveside service was held in Bethany Cemetery on Friday, November 26, 2021. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Barbara was born at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina July 6, 1943, daughter of Charles John Pistey and Frances Burns Pistey. She spent most of her life in the Charleston area, but did spend about ten years of her youth in Myrtle Beach where she attended Myrtle Beach High School. Barbara had a vibrant personality and enjoyed working with people. She was a bartender for a number of years and then became a real estate agent. In later years, she worked at the Historic Charleston City Market selling local wares.

Barbara was artistic from an early age and enjoyed sketching, painting, crocheting, making purses, sewing, and creating decorative pieces. She spent many free hours dancing the shag.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia P. Roberts (Hart) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter-in-law, Donna S. Rexroad of Pratt, KS; niece, Michele Fancher (Brian) of North Charleston, SC; nephew, Jason Miller (Vanessa) of Eugene, OR; and cousin, Danny Caddell (Kristi) of Cordesville, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Ferri; son, Dennis Charles Rexroad; mother, Frances Burns Pistey; father, Charles John Pistey; and brother, Charles Leon Pistey.
