Barbara Croom Duc

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of August 10, 2011, Barbara Croom Duc, wife of Albert (Albie) C. Duc.  Residence, James Island, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Albert C. Duc are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter Monday, August 15, 2011 at 2:00 pm in St. Johannes Lutheran Church.  Burial will be private. Friends may call at St. Johannes' Gatch Hall, Monday one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Duc was born June 1, 1930 in Columbia, SC, the daughter of Robert Croom and Jan Tidwell Croom Cowart. She was a graduate of Dreher High School and attended The University of South Carolina.  

Barbara married the love of her life Albie Duc on September 1, 1951. She spent her life raising three children while supporting Albie's military career and later his retail career. She was an active member of St. Johannes Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband of James Island, SC; one son: Chaz Duc and his wife Aileen of Plano, TX; two daughters: Robbin Duc Mosier and her husband Jimmy of James Island, SC and Diane D. McDaniel of James Island, SC; seven grandchildren: Adam Duc and his wife Sarah, Kevin Duc and his wife Amanda and Emily Duc all of Plano, TX; Derek and Melissa Mosier, Kirsten and Preston McDaniel all of James Island, SC.
